About Doctor Malik

Dr. Malik is a licensed naturopathic physician with practices in Salisbury, Connecticut and Manchester Center, Vermont. He sees patients five days a week and also provides consultation services for people that live from coast to coast. Dr. Malik sees patients of all ages with diverse conditions and health concerns. He helps his patients understand how their body and address the underlying causes of their ailments.

Dr. Malik obtained his doctorate degree from the four year accredited naturopathic program at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Bastyr University is a leading institution for training natural and alternative healthcare professionals. For over three years, while seeing patients at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, he applied concepts of conventional and naturopathic medicine to help patients improve their quality of life. During his training, Dr. Malik focused on environmental medicine, pediatrics, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), and women’s care.

Dr. Malik is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Connecticut Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

He is passionate about health: his own, his patients’, and the people he loves. Dr. Malik tries to be an example of healthy living. He exercises several times a week. His favorite forms of exercise are walking, hiking, running, and running errands on his bicycle. He consumes a whole foods diet that emphasizes vegetables, fruits, legumes, healthy fish, and lean sources of protein. Dr. Malik believes that dietary supplementation can be an important part of achieving or maintaining optimal health, but that diet, exercise and doing the things we love come first.

Dr. Malik strongly believes that health is not only a physical state, but also a mental and spiritual state. He works to maintain open communication with the people in his life and to cultivate his spirituality. Truthfully offering all of his knowledge and wisdom with humility, an open heart and an open mind are his spiritual and professional goals.
