Comprehensive Natural Healthcare

An approach to medicine that integrates diet, lifestyle, nutritional treatments, herbal medicine, physical medicine, and mainstream medical approaches. The goal is to use the least invasive but most effective treatments to address disease and improve vitality while minimizing side effects.

We are more than primary care physicians. We also take a functional and integrative approach to health, wellness, and treating disease. We provide routine examinations, routine screenings, immunizations, and other components of wellness care. We also help patients optimize their wellness by thoroughly testing for nutritional deficiencies and metabolic issues that impact health and wellness. We treat acute and chronic conditions with standard medications, nutritional medicine, and natural therapies. Call today for an appointment.

Naturopathic Medicine:

Dr. Malik is a Vermont and Connecticut licensed naturopathic physician. He attended a four-year doctorate program in naturopathic medicine at a nationally accredited university. Naturopathic physicians are trained in the appropriate, effective and safe use of natural and prescription medicines. Preventive and holistic medicine requires knowledge of the whole body and an understanding of how an individual’s concerns can be a sign of simple underlying dysfunction. There is always a balance to be struck between addressing the underlying cause of disease and simply improving the symptoms associated with it. An important goal is to have improved and lasting vitality as quickly, easily, and affordably as possible. When used in effective and safe doses, high quality natural therapies are powerful medicines. With many patients, the goal is to prevent or reduce their need for prescription medications. When necessary, natural and alternative approaches are used in conjunction with pharmaceutical therapies. Our goal is to maximize each patient’s capacity for health, vitality, and longevity.

The Principles of Naturopathic Medicine:

  • First, do no harm
  • View and treat the patient as a whole, dynamic person
  • Prevent illness and disease when possible
  • Find and address the cause of illness
  • Act as a teacher to individual patients and the community
  • Optimize patients’ innate ability to heal and maintain wellness
